Windy afternoon in a Hsinchu beach

Me and my son visited a friend’s family in Hsinchu for a few days and he took us to the beach nearby. Originally, we planned to let the kids play with the sand but to our surprise, the wind is so gusty (no wonder they set up wind turbines here as you can see in the video…) that the sand is scraped off the surface and fly with the flow all over the beach … you can see this from 0:35 and I deliberately turn off the music so you can hear the original voice and feel the wind!

Of course, kids did not get to play the sand and my 5 years old was even scared by the sand hitting his legs and cried. So we had to leave early. Still, it was a very unique experience for me!!

週末帶孩子到新竹訪友,盤桓數日。其間,朋友帶我們到新竹香山海邊去,想讓孩子們去玩玩沙。結果,那天海邊風很強(難怪裝了很多支風力發電機,影片中可以看到),我們到沙灘時,沙子跟著海風飛起,沿著沙灘形成奇特景象(從0:35開始,可以看到,我保留了現場的聲音,讓你身歷其境),但孩子們也玩不成沙了… 我那膽小的兒子,竟然被這海沙風打在身上的刺刺感給嚇著,不久就開始哭了… 我們只好趕緊離開了,哈哈。不過,對我而言是個蠻獨特的經驗喔~~
