Probably some of you know that the Chinese Lantern Festival just passed. It was March 1st last Thursday. We did not realize until last weekend. I made sure that Taipei’s Lantern Festival was on until Sunday night so we rushed there to catch some final glimpse yesterday evening.
It was near the North Gate and along the Zhonghua Road, spanning across quite a large area. So we did not check out all the lanterns, just to enjoy the fun and relax. Obviously, lots and lots of Taipei families think the same, so we just took a few photos and hid into a near-by cafe to enjoy dinner. I am gonna show you both in this part-one post, and will do a part-two post maybe tomorrow for more cute lanterns which we bumped into during our casual walking in this old part of Taipei city.
The following two photos show how many people there were.

Foreign cities had joined to greet Taipei. We saw Korea and Japan cities.

Ok! Time to sit back and enjoy some meals. ^^

We were lucky to find this Sunny Cafe nearby. It is neat and comfortable, although it seems more like a young people’s cafe than a family cafe… hey! my son is the youngest of all customers yesterday alright? ^^
