Red Lantern 2/2 - Jiufen photo series 008

For previous 7 Jiufen photo posts, please browse through my blog. When night falls, red lanterns are lit everywhere on Jiufen’s main streets but the alleys remains relatively dark, making this busy tourist town a little bit sexy (creepy?) at night…

I have too many red lantern shots so I split them into two. The previous one is here.

Happy leek farmer in Taiwan

https://steemitimages.com/DQmYQD6bpRvPuRw6giXfi6UQQ6HAUTbw7xqVLrsUoadjtyt/leeks-673243_640%20.jpg

https://steemitimages.com/DQmYv8FLHAtUa4yNkyHjrPKHZse6dUK99TsDzw9rCdxg5n2/14311423.jpg

https://steemitimages.com/DQmc9DckNF5evcBsAgDPe2kqUc2iJqo6UQg1TLFdAPV66od/63170526.jpg

    How I deal with over-priced SBDs - Part 2 - It's Matchpool this time! :)

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmfBPegA8Kvf7nr9dXN6kapsWkTE22a9YpEioMR5niHFYN/image.png

A few days ago I shared with you about this matter:

How I deal with over-priced SBDs … Warning… this may not be a good example!

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmXupG7PsPU8HS5KmgywQvw9oYKFm1R3p1JNPWXGPWUKDR/image.png

Now since I have got some SBDs in the pocket and as I check changelly the SBD:USDT rate is close to 1:1.4 again (has been lower inbetween) so I am all experimental again (following @ace108 ‘s suggestion I use the #myexperiment tag). Should I buy PeerPlays token again? Maybe… But it won’t be fun as I have done that. And as I browse through many ongoing ICOs, either I cannot understand or it seems too expensive for me…

Then I think, oh yeah, maybe I can buy some more ICO tokens that I participated before and is now on the market. That’s when I decide that I should look into MatchPool‘s current condition (yeah, I bought some during their ICO). If you ask why I invested in this token, I will answer you with the same answer for almost all ICOs that I have participated …

I love the concept!! For Matchpool, this idea has been in my brain way before I heard them.

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmNRhGtXeKgZVyRZuTCH3c9GqoZqhLWmcxVeFNrPpZXeMY/image.png

Besides, one additional Steem factor is that our respected leader here @ned is on their advisor list! (Ned, I am counting on you!!)  XD

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmSCjSan3qPUFiufw4UwnvmQkMcyrgmXvmjE1hiLnEgNTB/image.png

So, it seems a pretty good choice for my 19+ SBDs… Oh, one more thing actually… matchpool has actually suffered some glitches right after their successful ICO. A news report has it here:

Matchpool: The ICO ‘Scandal’ That Wasn’t

So that’s maybe why its price on Bittrex is currently not good. But as I have read the above article, I think it may be a good time to buy some more (actually a little bit more only… lol). Buy at a lower price is always a good choice if you still have confidence in it. Hence that’s what I have done this morning!!

Send 19+ SBDs to Bittrex –> Sell it to get BTC –> Buy GUP (Matchpool token) with it –> Transfer it to my ethereum wallet

Viola! So now I have 206 more GUP tokens with me!! Yes!

    [along with my existing ones]

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmXAAKkLMDXw4YbSyRuc5JxR2fN2Tbe7ZzkotzK7ogKULD/image.png

Finally, same conclusion and warnings apply as per my previous post.

Note. One ICO currently on that I love but did not mention is https://vivaco.in/ VIVA!! As I am already a happy investor. So I did not consider buying more VIVA Crown with this small amount of SBDs. :)

My Food Log - Jin Din Rou in Taipei [

I used to share some restaurants that I had and now I think it is a good time to keep doing this. One because I would like to introduce great foods in Taiwan to the world and secondly I can keep my food log online as well. And I intend to start the title of this kind of posts with “My Food Log…. “. :)  [experimenting a little bit with a similar tag as well]

Actually I have done two relevant posts lately:

Lunch today after going to a future commerce show - Liao’s lamb thick soup at back station

A Review of Din Tai Fung steemitblogs and about its FIRST store

For the 2nd one, you must have known that Din Tai Fung is famous for its steamed soup dumplings (Xiao Lung Bao). But… be that as it may, you definitely have many more choices in Taipei - the city of Chinese cuisines.

So today I am gonna let you know one great place to have xiaolungbaos - Jin Din Rou. It is already famous among Japanese tourists who may be have too much DTF so they want a fresh new choice for these little evil dumplings….

Me and my wife went there a few weeks ago. And we have to say - yes, it is not inferior to DTF in terms of food quality.

Jin Din Rou is located in the busy streets of Chungshan district, at the back door business strips of the Regent Hotel Taipei, which accommodates a lot of foreign tourists, especially from Japan. It looks like this:

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmc2emy56q1ENTaRkdMqqLF8saoY7Z6ZkR3nkKwks6UzYn/IMG_20161202_195524.jpg

If you think you can just enter the gate and look for a seat, well, most of the time, you cannot. You will be guided to go to the building next door, yeah, the one at the left with a green elevator but you can just walk to the 2nd floor. Follow that blue sign.

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmUjK74M1VCvrK4nev3yDsgoFEVYSE1ZXU4dX8FnEsCsPD/IMG_20161202_195518.jpg

There you are. It doesn’t look fancy like Din Tai Fung and even a little bit too simple.

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmUbuPKSCYsDWQRQGZjDKVKShKqipnMT8jS5pS44baETwM/IMG_20161202_190821.jpg

But… who cares!? We are here for the food!! See!? They DON’T CARE!! :)

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmS5p2CzmvTbxPs1yWwKoT6hFmrj9nFbfkJbu3cnxV3wEk/IMG_20161202_191548.jpg

So we had our table. Hot tea, ginger shreds (for those dumplings of course!) and nice tableware …

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmfGvVRFrtKRCW2NncMgw5ad2Hmic2xRFmUmhRWGit9LdH/IMG_20161202_191021.jpg

What we had that day are: xiaolungbao of course, fried rice (you can roughly judge its chef simply from this dish), sour and spicy soup, fried vegetables, mapo tofu, wined chicken and some beer!!

    https://steemitimages.com/DQmYjXhXGKzRJ2J3bMaKkGEjSJ2g2cwaLRZdzwhHCgmBsSS/IMG_20161202_192256.jpg

Like Din Tai Fung, they let you see how the chefs in the kitchen produce these dumplings … So Steemy Steamy inside, right?

I hope you enjoy my food log. :)

    [Chinese version]
