There was a global live media exposure last night (Taipei time) to release this first ever black hole image in the history of mankind.
According to the website:
The Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) — a planet-scale array of eight ground-based radio telescopes forged through international collaboration — was designed to capture images of a black hole. Today, in coordinated press conferences across the globe, EHT researchers reveal that they have succeeded, unveiling the first direct visual evidence of a supermassive black hole and its shadow.
This amazing task was completed via the EHT linking telescopes around the globe to form an Earth-sized virtual telescope! Wow! incredible!
Taipei was among the global six cities to host this news event due to Taiwan’s contribution in this historical science project. Feel pretty honored. ^_^

Okay, now we can shift attention back to ETH…. lol
