When I first saw this boy on an open field of a tribe, he was crying. Others were singing and dancing behind. Thinking he might feel left out, I walked to him and showed him the photos and videos I just took of the dancing group.

我在一片空地上看到这个小男孩时，他正在哇哇大哭。部落的其他年轻人在后面载歌载舞，不知道这孩子是不是觉得被冷落了。这么想着，我就走到他旁边蹲下来，给他看我相机里刚拍的那些跳舞的照片和视频。我打手势问他想不想看看他自己现在的样子，他点点头，破涕为笑。拍了这张照片后，我指着屏幕给他看，他笑得更开心了，虽然眼角还挂着泪，哈哈。

他当时坐在一种做工精美的小板凳上，从下面我拍的另一张照片里可以看到，那跳舞的小姑娘头上放的就是同一种板凳。我看这些原始部落的人几乎人手一个，走路时拿在手里或戴在头上，走累了就放地上当板凳坐着，挺有意思。

I asked him if he wanted to see himself on the screen too (not really verbally asking but all gestures here, since we didn’t understand each other’s language), and he started to smile and agreed. So I clicked my camera, and pointed to the screen. Seeing his own amusing expression, the boy’s smile turned broader, with tears in his eyes still. :)

At that moment, he was sitting on a beautifully crafted wooden bench, which the tribe people also put on their heads as decoration. In my photo below, you can see this type of bench on the girl’s head:

The girls were actually in the dancing group behind, and I probably showed the boy their photo. I posted this photo of the three girls last year in the Truthseeking Thursday of Photogames, but didn’t give much information then (cause it’s truth seeking of course ;)). These 2 photos were taken in the south of Ethiopia, bordering Kenya. The head image is my entry for @ntopaz’s Stock Photo contest themed Human. My camera settings:

Greetings everyone! Have you ever tried Colombian style BBQ?
When I traveled through the country, I found this delicious treat pretty common as street food, and it’s also enjoyed at local homes or as picnics. They usually grill potatoes, meat, plantains, corn… and the ubiquitous arepas of course! So I devoured the bbq every time when I caught it on the street or in a restaurant. I was even invited by some local families to eat with them when I walked past their yards. Oh how I love Colombia (and solo travels as well)! =)

I saw the man making bbq in Zipaquirá, close to Bogotá, on my way to visit the underground Salt Cathedral. His cool hat, the traditional sombrero vueltiao from Colombia reminds me of a photo of myself taken at the Botero Plaza of Medellín. Earlier, I was looking at one sculpture by the Colombian national treasure artist Fernando Botero, who donated those famous “fat” artworks for the museum there. One hat vendor suddenly came to me, and put one hat on my head, pointing to that sculpture: “Why don’t you take a photo with this cool sombrero on?” He had 2 dozens of sombreros in his hands, with their national tri-colors on each of them, just like all those silly but fun souveniors for tourists. We both laughed. So here it is, my picture with the sombrero vueltiao! :)

I spotted a little squirrel when strolling inside the Trinity College, part of the University of Oxford. This college was founded in 1555 by Sir Thomas Pope in England. It’s very enjoyable to walk through its green lawns, pretty gardens and old buildings.

The squirrel was moving swiftly. He hopped from a log to the bushes, and then ran across the lawn to climb up a tree for its fruits. So I followed this speedy fellow from a distance and took some action shots. I had to react very quickly. It’s challenging to catch these transient moments, but it’s quite fun too. :)

这组松鼠的照片是我在英国牛津大学的三一学院拍的。这个古老的学院成立于1555年，出过三位英国首相。明媚的阳光下，校园显得很美，绿油油的草坪四周静静地立着年代久远的老建筑。漫步在繁花似锦的庭园里，心情也格外舒畅。

正晃着，眼前突然闪现出这只小家伙。他先是在一根木柱上驻足远眺了几秒，接着转身跳到旁边的灌木丛里，开始啃红果。啃了两口，又飞快地跃过草坪，爬上一棵大树，矫健地在枝桠间上窜下跳着继续寻觅果实。我赶紧调了一下相机设置，远远地跟着他，像个狗仔一样狂按快门，拍下了这些瞬间。

Hi everyone! I haven’t posted about Market Friday initiated by @dswigle for quite a while, and today I’m showing you “The Amazing Mill Markets” (nice name eh? ;)) in Australia. It’s located in Daylesford, a town at a foothill in Victoria. It’s a stop on our road trip from the south back to Queensland.

At this big market you will find a wide selection of antiques, memorabilia, vintage furniture and clothing, home decor, books, records, artworks and much more. I saw tons of interesting objects here, and I guess there’s a unique story behind each of them.

It opens 10am to 6pm, everyday of the year except Christmas day. And there are also Amazing Mill Markets at Ballarat and Geelong.

今天是星期五，想起来好久没参加“周五市场”的主题活动了。这次就带大家去澳大利亚看看一家大型古物集市。

这地方叫“米尔集市”，位于墨尔本以西约110公里的度假小镇戴尔斯福特。门口的标志就是用旧物做成的，挺有特色。大门上方写着：欢迎来到“很棒的米尔集市”，哈哈，我看到后忍不住笑了，进去后发现确实还不错。

整个场地面积非常大，还有露天的庭院。各个区域分别摆放、悬挂着不同类别的旧货、古物，其中邮票、书籍、杂志、玩具、瓷器、家具、古着、艺术品等琳琅满目，应有尽有。除了颇具澳洲本土特色的东西和很多英国人留下来的物品，还有来自中国的瓷器和关于中国的书籍、音像制品。

我在这里流连了几十分钟，看到很多有意思的小玩意儿，想象着他们承载着的独特故事。集市里大都是上了年纪的顾客，估计这里的很多商品能勾起他们对往昔的回忆吧。

这里全年除了圣诞节外每天都营业，在西方还不多见，很多欧洲的古物集市每周只摆设有限的一天或几天。此外，在Geelong和Ballarat也有这家米尔集市。

Seems urban axe throwing has become more and more popular these years. I guess people enjoy this adrenaline rush for relieving their stress and anxiety coming with the fast pace of city life.

I tried it with some friends and made a very short (but sweet ;)) video with my phone during the break. My crappy phone didn’t work well with the dim lights inside, so the video and some pictures are pretty fuzzy, but I hope you get the idea. We had loads of fun. :)

This place is called Wood Cutter, located right at the heart of Brussels. The space is small but has a cool interior. Their copywriting and website design is quite catchy and to the point as well. And of course, you get to enjoy local beers… it’s Belgium.

最近几年，扔斧头解压似乎变得越来越流行。很多长期处于压力下的都市人都尝试用这种方式来暂时放松一下。我和几个朋友晚上在布鲁塞尔市中心玩了些回合，间歇时，我用手机拍了点视频和照片，这就来跟大家分享。室内光线很暗，所以拍得不太清晰，各位看官将就着看吧~ :) 这里地方很小，但设计得挺酷，店里和网站的文案都很吸人眼球。
