#195 Laguna Colorada of Bolivia | 玻利维亚的红湖

I took this photo at Laguna Colorada (Red Lake) in Bolivia. The view of this high-altitude desert plain looks surreal to me. It is located in the southwest of the country, within Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve and close to the border with Chile.

The shallow salt lake’s reddish color is caused by red sediments and pigmentation of some algae. The white dots in the red lake are actually flamingos. I’ve shared some close-up photos of these beautiful birds before. Together with the blue sky, the floating clouds, the rolling hills, the highland steppe and the grazing llamas, the landscape is simply stunning, isn’t it? :)

这是玻利维亚西南部的一处红湖，是濒危火烈鸟的栖息地。以前贴过近景火烈鸟的照片，图上远处的小白点就是成群的火烈鸟在觅食。红湖被列为国际拉姆萨尔湿地公约中的一员，受到保护，不能靠近。但远远看着这蓝天白云、火山红湖、高原草甸，还有呼啸的狂风中悠闲啃草的几匹草泥马，真是不能不感叹大自然母亲的鬼斧神工！难怪有人说这里的奇景是上帝打翻了调色盘造成的~ 你觉得呢？=)
