#266 A Shit Post 💩😊| Snax

Over the last few weeks, lots of Steemians have been linking their Steem account to the Snax blockchain, and a lovely friend @livinguktaiwan joked that she was cursing them for making a shit post and that she did the same.

I commented that I would add a head picture of a great poop in my post if I link it too, then my content might look a bit less shitty with the original touch… ;) And last night, 2 CN shining tycoons @deanliu and @ericet informed me that my Steem Attention Rate was ranked the 50th ahead of other CN users on Snax at that moment. I was like, really? That’s pretty ridiculous, as I was not even super active recently. Hmmm, looked like a nice algorithm… And it reminded me again to do this shit post to embrace the cool new kid in town. :)

So here we go, let me present you this precious poop photo I took earlier this month in the Sahara. It was after a storm, I found this little insect next to a camel (dromedary to be exact) poop.

##
Don’t you think dung beetle is an amazing creature? They can roll those massive dung balls like a pro with so much tenacity and perseverance. Sounds a bit like us Steemians who still stick to this platform with no less passion even when the price is so low? ;p

I even did a meme to make my image look more wiseass. As I was thinking one man’s trash can be another man’s treasure. I guess you guys know what the original quote is?

##
What is a shit post in your eyes? You are welcome to leave your opinion in the comments! 🙂

Remember to check out the Snax blockchain if you haven’t done it already. This is not a shitty idea but quite the opposite. According to @snaxteam, the deadline of their bounty program was prolonged from today until June 10. Up till now, only 213k Snax tokens of 5M have been distributed. So if you are interested, you still have 10 days to grab your piece of the pie!

And as a member of @SteemitWorldMap team, I’m glad to say that we are about to award our Map users with Snax tokens soon, so stay tuned! =)

I want to link my Steem account with my account on Snax blockchain using https://snax.one
Please, create Snax account for me!

#265 Perspective 📸 | 视角

Hey, what’s up fellow Steemians? Inspired by @portraitcontest’s weekly theme - Perspective, I’m now posting a few pictures taken in my travels as entries. They are just some crappy phone shots in pretty low quality, but I hope you get the idea and feel the fun! :)

First, a portrait of a skier and a snowboarder from my last skiing trip in the Austrian Alps, with some strange Perspective: ;)

And two pictures of me by the desert oasis of Huacachina, Peru:

One of those fun Perspective shots in the famous Uyuni flats in Bolivia:

##
I once posted a video with the same group goofing around in Chile’s Atacama desert, in which we also played with Perspective:

On the Road Again
Willie Nelson

On the road again
I just can’t wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin’ music with my friends
And I can’t wait to get on the road again

On the road again
Goin’ places that I’ve never been
Seein’ things that I may never see again
And I can’t wait to get on the road again

On the road again
Like a band of Gypsies we go down the highway
We’re the best of friends
Insisting that the world keep turnin’ our way
And our way

On the road again
I just can’t wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin’ music with my friends
And I can’t wait to get on the road again
And I can’t wait to get on the road again

Greetings everybody! Here’s my second entry to the Art of Love contest hosted by @ntopaz and @livvu.

It’s a collage of 7 photos that I took from around the world. As you can see, each object is heart-shaped. =) Clockwise from top left,

the 1st one: a naturally heart-shaped jackfruit I found in a market in Bali of Indonesia;

the 2nd one: a heart-shaped stone painted red by a native Mapuche woman who runs a guest house in central Chile;

the 3rd one: a crispy cracker made by me from the leftover rice;

the 4th one: neatly trimmed heart-shaped bush in the countryside of Belgium;

the 5th one: a candy from a cafe in Addis Ababa;

the 6th one: a fossil stone I spotted near Ouarzazate in Morocco;

the middle one: my decoration from the garden. :)

##
Love and be loved.

##
Which “heart” do you like the best? Do you have some heart-shaped objects to share?

##

##
And here’s one flatlay photo I made a few months ago for the Valentine’s Day contest, with a love donut, a lipstick and rose petals:

Lovedonut.JPG

##
I just realized I bought some chocolates yesterday and there’s actually a heart-shaped one in it:

##

#263 Laksa! 🍜 |

Hi everyone! It’s Tasty Tuesday time! I devoured a big bowl of Laksa last Sunday evening in the Chinatown ( only a short street) of Antwerp. It reminds me of those delicious Laksas I enjoyed in Malaysia and Singapore.

##

DE5A8463-6FC7-4463-9DC1-0CA06E9A723F.jpeg

##
In my picture above, it is a Laksa I had in 328 Katong Laksa on the East Coast Road of Singapore. In a 2013 cooking showdown, 328 Katong Laksa beat the celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. This result surely made it even more famous.

The Laksa was inspired by the Straits Chinese who live in the precinct of Katong. I quickly finished the aromatic seafood and rice vermicelli soaked in the spicy broth flavoured with coconut milk and dried shrimp. It tasted divine!

##
And I loved the Laksa from Toast Box, but I forgot to take pictures of the food there since I simply ate too many Laksas those days, so only a Laksa photo from the shop when I left: ;)

laksaSingapore (2).jpg.jpg)

##
Though we can find Laksa easily in Malaysia and Singapore, it’s rare here in Belgium. There are only 3 to 4 Malaysian restaurants in the whole country (I haven’t tried the 4th one yet as I can’t find any pictures of it online but only a name and address, would check it out one day), and not every one of them sells Laksa. Luckily Belgium is small in size, so I’m grateful to enjoy some hearty Asian meals occasionally without driving too far. :)

##
u514mf00sd.jpg

##
As for the precious Laksa here, it’s normal that there’s not a variety of choices like Nyonya Laksa, Johor Laksa, Sarawak Laksa, Penang Asam Laksa… but only the most common curry mee with coconut-based curry broth. I feel this is the more mild flavored Laksa comparing to other types I tried in Malaysia? Any Malaysian or Singaporean Steemians please correct me if I got it wrong.

##

##
As you can see from my photos, the toppings include prawns, fish cakes/balls, tofu puffs, bean sprouts, long beans, scallions, eggplants, and even char siu (Cantonese barbecue pork) pieces… It’s rich and fragrant as always. Slurp, slurp, slurp~

##

##
I just found these pictures from my phone taken in Kuala Lumpur - similar noodle soup I had in the cafe restaurant chain Old Town White Coffee. It’s much cheaper and more spicy:

Greetings everyone! Here’s my entry for the Art of Love contest hosted by @ntopaz and @livvu. I have been following both for some time. @ntopaz is an awesome platform for artists, and @livvu is an awesome artist. ;) I mean it. Check out @ntopaz’s website for fun art contests, and check out @livvu’s page for her unique paintings and sculptures that ooze passionate love and touching stories.

My photo here was shot in Machu Picchu, yes, the world wonder where I took so many photos and videos but haven’t yet done a single post about. At first I was a bit afraid to visit this super famous place, but after I did, I was totally in awe. The llamas wandering around freely all over the site are part of the magic. I feel this picture fits into the LOVE theme. Love between the couple; love (or peace ;p) between the llamas; love of us for the nature, for the ancient civilization and for traveling ❤, and of course… my love for photography (or for clicking pictures since I’m far from a professional photographer). :)

#261 Royal Palace of Cambodia & A Korean Meal 🇰🇭 |

##
Hey, what’s up fellow Steemians! What you see in my photos here are part of the Royal Palace of Cambodia in its capital city Phnom Penh. The head image is my entry to the Qurator Photo Friday competition.

It’s the moment before a tropical shower when the changing sky and clouds casted a dramatic backdrop for these buildings. The girl in the picture was cycling hard to escape the coming storm, and the heavy rain started to pour when I walked fast till a restaurant by the square.

The fried chicken restaurant franchise is called Bonchon Chicken. They are commonly seen in Southeast Asia and the USA, but there’s only 1 store in its birthplace of South Korea. So I ordered a coffee and a Bibimbap while waiting for the rain to stop. I’m not sure if the meal was genuinely Korean, but it tasted great and this place offered a nice view point for the palace and the square.

About 2 hours later, the downpour stopped, and locals went on picnicing. This square and the river side seemed to be a popular place for tourists as well as the locals to relax.

The whole complex covers an extensive area of 174,870 square metres. Its throne hall, defensive wall, Temple of the Emerald Buddha, stupas and towering spires are all typical elements of Khmer architecture with a slight French touch.

In the mid-19th century, the construction of the palace started after the royal capital was relocated here from Oudong. The site was chosen at the Western bank of the cross division of the two important rivers - Mekong River and Tonle Sap River.

Have you visited the Royal Palace of Cambodia? What impressed you the most there?
