#224 Quiet Misty Evening | 暮 · 雾

0ygcwb3x9f.jpg

##
Just a quiet misty evening in the south of Chile. I captured this scene during a business trip 2 years ago. It’s early April, autumn time in the southern hemisphere. Quite chilly in that region.

It’s difficult to describe the unique atmosphere then. Once again words fail me. Thank god I had a camera. Hopefully you can feel it from my picture. Below is the photo in color. Which do you prefer? Tell me in the comments please. :)

##

#223 Market Friday - Valparaíso (2) 🇨🇱 | 瓦尔帕莱索(二)

##
Greetings everyone! Do you like markets? To me, markets are like street food - they are the heart and soul of a place. So I really enjoy visiting the lively markets when I live in or travel to somewhere.

Today I’m sharing some photos I took at the market of Valparaíso, the charming port city in Chile. Let’s join @dswigle’s #marketfriday fun together and check out these colorful stands, stalls, fruits, vegetables, flowers and trucks! :)

##

##
Chirimoya is something I miss a lot from Latin America. Its sweet juice is so refreshing on a hot day! It is also called Custard Apple and is generally thought to be native to the Andean highlands, spreading to many other parts of Latin America.

#222 Wednesday Walk - A Lovely Shop | 一家小店

ani (10).jpg.jpg)

##
Hey, I had a little walk in my previous university town before having dinner there, and I’d like to share with you a lovely shop I encountered.

今天干完活去以前的大学城吃晚饭,经过一家小店,觉得不错,来分享一下。

##
It’s on this street:
所在的小街:
ani (2).JPG.JPG)

##
The shop’s name - Special Animals. I like its tagline: Wonders are collectible.
店名:“奇特的生物”(我从法语翻译过来的,可能不准确。我的感觉是里面有卖一些奇特的动物标本、书、文具等,然后买那些奇特的小玩意儿的人也是些奇特的生物。挺好的,这个世界已经够多无趣的循规蹈矩了不是吗。)
下面一排小字:“奇迹是可以收藏的。”

Some cool “special” books: ;)
门口的书就很奇特,我挺喜欢这些无厘头的幽默感,还有不少环保的绿色书籍也很棒(Hi @dancingapple~ 可能你不在,但不妨碍我突然想起你的召唤 :p):

##
The poet Donald Trump and the life coach Vladimir Putin, lol…
《川普总统的美妙诗集》,《成功学导师普京总统》…… 呵呵呵:

##
Hi @liltammy, our Frida Kahlo here~ :D

##
I was thinking about buying these plant books as well, but since they were too heavy to carry, I only bought the other 2 small ones at last. ;)
其实也很想买这几本绿植的书,但太重了懒得背,最后只买了其他两样轻巧的小册子。=)

最后我买的 —— 《艺术啊它如何让人开心》(看着名字和颜色、装帧我就已经很开心,哈哈)的小书和一套古风地图贴纸,好开心~

I just adore things with a map on them, and they are stickers! :)
刚来时的第一篇自我介绍里说过,所有印有地图的东西都能让我热血沸腾😃,现在有了这些可爱的贴纸,地图真的可以无处不在了,哈哈哈:

小书的内里。一直觉得灰色和黄色很搭,低调平和又不失活泼明快,世界各地住过的家里都有很多这种色彩组合的家具和小物件。

Greetings everyone! Today I’m sharing some photos I took in Valletta, the capital city of Malta.

I was strolling in the harbor area and caught this golden hour of the day. The blue sky was turning warmer and darker. I enjoyed looking at those honey-toned buildings, houses and fortresses bathing in an orangeish shade.

The dome that dominates Valletta’s skyline is from Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and there’s the St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral (Anglican) closeby.

#220 Addis Ababa (2) - People Photography by Worldcapture Week #22 | 埃塞首都剪影(二)

ntopaz-image-0

So this is not the Little Match Girl in Denmark, but a little peanut boy in Ethiopia. :) I guess he’s smiling all the time not because I bought his peanuts, but because he’s just happy. I didn’t ask for change, but the tiny amount of money probably wouldn’t even get him a lunch.

I am a cheerful (perhaps cheeky too if I say so ;p) person most of the time, and I love capturing these happy moments. Life is not easy, but we can still smile. :D It’s also my entry to People Photography Week #22 by @worldcapture. Check out this contest and join the fun!

这不是卖火柴的小女孩,而是卖花生的小男孩。他一直开心地笑,应该不是因为我买了他的花生,而是那种乐观的天性使然吧。就算我没要找零,可能那几毛钱也不够他买一顿饭。

大部分时候我都是个快活的疯子,所以也喜欢拍这些灿烂的人们。困苦不可怕,可怕的是不会穷开心。:D 生活虐我们千百遍,我们还要不要待它如初恋?

#219 Chinese Translation of GDevelop 5 (1) | ✍ GDevelop 5 中文翻译(一)

Repository

Project Details

##
GDevelop is an open-source, cross-platform game creator. It doesn’t require any programming skills, so it’s easy to use.

Anyone can use GDevelop to create 2D games, such as platformers, puzzles, shoot ‘em up, strategy, 8-bit games… It can be simple projects for fun or more ambitious indie games.

Events is a unique feature of GDevelop. It’s a powerful way to express the logic of your game without a programming language.

Users can publish games created with GDevelop to the web, iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and even Facebook Messenger. Games can also be exported in one click to Android from the app.

GDevelop also offers visual editors to prototype new features, and the game engine can be extended with Javascript.

Tutorials, examples and a complete documentation for the software are available.

As a wonderful opportunity to teach programming and game making, GDevelop has already been used in classrooms and online courses, with digital media students or children in first grade.

##
Before I started the translation of GDevelop, I first read through the project on Crowdin and in GitHub. Except for the GDevelop 5 I’m translating, their website is to be translated.

This project’s user-friendly and creative features interests me. I believe it’s a great tool that helps people without any programming knowledge turn their ideas into reality. Sounds exciting, doesn’t it? Hopefully my translation in Simplified Chinese bring more users to this platform. I’d love to see the large number of Chinese makers and educators benefit from this tool. So they can unleash their creativity to build games or programmes, and inspire students to do so as well.

Contribution Specifications

##
Translation Overview

As you can see from the screenshots below, this project consists of 2 files - GDevelop 5 (editor) and GDevelop (core and extensions). The second file has been translated partly by others. I started from the first file at 0%, and finished 36% (1,054 of 2,906 words) in my first submission.

Before:

After:

##
Different from the whole context of Quasar Framework documentation, the GDevelop 5 file includes short independent strings about the game editor. It took less time in translating each string, but sometimes it’s more difficult to opt for an accurate Chinese word choice due to the lack of a complete picture.

I truly appreciate the help from my proofreader @aafeng, who has always been very patient and helpful. He examined my translation work promptly and suggested a few changes. I’m looking forward to working on the left part of this file, as well as finishing the second part - core and extensions.

##
Languages

I translate from English to Simplified Chinese.

##
Word Count

I have translated 1054 words in this submission:
